Honda CR-V vs Toyota RAV4

When hitting the streets of Fresno, Clovis, and Visalia, you deserve a vehicle that is going to take on anything the road throws your way. What’s the best way to do this? At Selma Honda, we think it’s with a powerful and functional SUV. However, with so many great models available right now, how do you know which one is right for you?

Our SUV experts are here to help you decided with our Honda CR-V vs. Toyota RAV4 comparison. We have taken two of the most popular models and put them side by side, allowing you to make an educated decision based on your needs. Which one will you choose?

CR-V vs RAV4 – Performance

Although the components under the hood the both these SUVs offer pretty similar performances while on the road, there are some notable differences when it comes to features. Standard in the 2019 CR-V, you will find tons of innovations that put you in control like an electronic parking brake, Hill-Start Assist, and Active Noise Cancellation to keep your cabin calm and quiet. Additionally, you can even add on the available Real-Time AWD Intelligent Control System and handy remote-start features.

However, though the 2019 RAV4 has slightly more power than the Honda, it does come standard with an electric parking brake, Hill-Start Assist, or noise cancellation. In fact, there are not available for this model at all. Though it does come with front-wheel drive, AWD is not available, nor is a remote-start feature.

2019 CR-V vs 2019 RAV4 – Interior Space

The Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4 both can seat up to five people comfortably in their cabin. However, that is where the similarities end when it has to do with the space you’ll receive inside.

The Toyota offers 98.9 cubic feet of passenger volume for those five individuals, as well as space in the back for belongings. When the rear seats are fully upright, you’ll get 37.6 cubic feet of cargo, and when the seats are folded down, you can extend that space to 69.8 cubic feet.

On the other hand, the Honda provides more passenger space, coming in at 105.9 cubic feet. The cargo area is also more expansive. When the back row is filled with people, you’ll have 39.2 cubic feet to play with. Need more room? Simply fold down them down and transform your cargo with 75.8 cubic feet of open space to store just about whatever you need.

Honda & Toyota Technology

To keep you connected and entertained on the road, both these vehicles offer interior features that will keep you happy. The CR-V makes it easy to connect your smartphone to its smart interface using Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, allowing you to access apps, music, and navigation. It also comes available with SiriusXM® Radio to set the perfect on-road soundtrack.

While the RAV4 also includes Apply CarPlay™, Android Auto™ is not available, nor is SiriusXM® Radio, making it more difficult for everyone to connect and personalize driving tunes.

Honda CR-V vs Toyota RAV4 – You Choose!

While both the CR-V and RAV4 can offer a great driving experience, the professionals at Selma Honda think you’re going to love the additional performance features, extra cargo space, and extended tech that the Honda model offers.
